Our PTO has a mission dedicated to the enhancement of the educational experience of our children and the fostering of our school community. We use board and committee participation as a means of sharing talents, ideas and energies school-wide toward a common goal.

PTO Fall Festival/ Fall Picnic: a school community building experience where parents get to enjoy a family fun day on the weekend at our campus while meeting their children's friends, classmates, other parents, and teachers in a totally relaxed and fun non-fundraising atmosphere.

PTO Spring Auction: a great parent's night out! dinner and socializing with other parents, grandparents, and teachers late in the year: may catch up with people you met from school activities. a night where great prizes are auctioned off to the highest bidder including trips to disney in orlando, to the watercolor inn at seaside, local spa packages, and golf packages. The hands-down hottest items are the classroom artwork and scrapbooks so lovingly made and cherished. The money raised has been used for the tennis courts, fall festivals, travel scholarships, computer smart-boards, digital cameras for each teacher, library book club support, teacher's christmas gifts, and end of year classroom parties.

Teacher Appreciation Week: the first week of May, PTOs accross our country call on students and parents to cheer for their student's schoolteachers. Our PTO gives teachers' gifts, caters a lunch, and coordinates the school-wide week of activities in a manner respectful of classroom learning time.

Room Parents are coordinated through a PTO board position that keeps us "all in the loop". If you have been in another school system, you will notice that the requests for money throughout the schoolyear for class parties and teachers' gifts is nominal on our campus due to the support of the PTO treasury.

Please do come to a PTO meeting during this school year and consider serving your children and your school community through board or committee involvement.

We truly believe that nurturing our children's education is the best investment we can make!

    Yours,

    Rita Goyal

    President JSBAcademy PTO.
