Music
What is Music?
Music classes at Bruno Montessori Academy include the study of the basic elements of music and provide a foundation for subsequent specialization in instrumental, vocal, and choral music. Singing, moving, performing on instruments, improvising, composing, reading, notating, analyzing, describing, and evaluating are activities that are included within the music curriculum. Music is connected to the other areas of students’ curriculum, including the other arts, as well as all academic disciplines outside of the arts.
The curriculum for music study is based on the content standard in The National Standards for Arts Education: What Every Student Should Know in Dance, Music, Theatre, and Visual Arts.
