The Joseph Bruno Montessori Academy is seeking employees for the following positions:

  • A P.E. teacher for grades 1st through 8th
  • A qualified co-head teacher for a 6 - 9 classroom
  • A co-teacher for a 3 to 6 classroom
  • A co-teacher for a toddler class

  The school was established in 1982 and currently has 267 students with 70 at the 6 - 9 level.  JSBMA is located on twenty wooded acres south of Birmingham in the suburban community, Indian Springs Village, 30 minutes from downtown Birmingham.  It is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and School and is affiliated with the American Montessori Society, soon will be accredited.  The city offers many cultural, educational, and recreational opportunities and is the home of the University of Alabama in Birmingham, an outstanding medical facility.

Each level has it own separate aesthetically pleasing building with a total of eight buildings from preschool to middle school.  The school has two classrooms for 6 - 9 students, both richly equipped with Montessori and other materials in all disciplines and up-to-date computers.
